| Mistakes involves interacting with the people in a wrong way. Here are some of the 9 biggest mistakes that can be noticed in leaders... 1] A biggest mistake a leader can make is potentially acting too fast and executing before actually thinking through the issue. In corporate America, even government often you find you're striking from a fire host of issues firing at you and their is very little time actually to step back, evaluate, and think about what you 're doing and then enter the stage with a new clear vision of where you are going. Most of the time its very much a honesty harness the flow of issues and address those. So realistically, what a leader can do is take a step back from the situation |
with the management team and seek advice, think through it even it is a 5 minute process and then move back to execution. This stepping back is good and short term in solving issues but also in long term management taking through strategy for firm.
2] There are other 2 big mistakes also that leaders can make
we as followers, very catholic with the small sea. We accept almost any leadership style like little leaders, weak leaders, tall leaders, big, large, short whole range of leadership styles as long as two things are true,
First mistake is, we are great in the sniff at first one out. As soon as we get a first little sniff that all about the leader instead of something else, in the service of something bigger. It has to be about something larger than your self.
The second major mistake that can be seen is being authentic or nothing authentic, trying to be something else, being inconsistent, the word integrity means whole of inconsistency and the greatest fear we see from people in the workplaces which one is coming in today, is this person comes in and puts arm around me, Oh, how you doing today? or the one who's talking behind my back and stabbing me at the back and being the check on hide.
So the two biggest mistakes are not being authentic and consistent and predictable and being all about you and not something bigger than himself.
3] Another mistake a leader can make is or a worst trade a leader can have is to not be self reflective. So the admired leaders that I have worked with and the people distant in my own day-to-day that I have apprenticed myself to and really wanted to follow had been people who are constantly reviewing their own behavior, who are thinking about how they can develop themselves and thinking about how their behavior impacts other people. So I think in that somebody must be willing to hold up a mirror to themselves and haven't honest to god conversation about how they are doing? what effect their leadership is having? and what effect they have on other people? I don't think they're effective leaders.
Conversely the people who were the worst leaders are people who just bulldoze flowered and path forward through life making mistakes, not really looking back on the past, not learning as they go and not necessarily being self aware about how they're affecting the people around them.
Establishing a leadership role often comes by just allowing your abilities to shine and direct the group. Established leaders do not have to ask for respect or even state his/her abilities, their leadership skills will often talk louder than their words. We need to understand that some leaders lead from the front, and others push from the back..... Just find out which role fits your skill set best; then you will begin to gain trust from your team, and your role will develop from there!
4] The Biggest Mistake a Leader Can Make is to not lead...What good is a person who is in a leadership position that does nothing and lets things go however they will go??
5] Bad leaders suck the joy, energy and enthusiasm out of your life. The ability to undermine their own success and the success of their organizations is called The Bosshole Effect.
6] If you get it right, people will learn to trust and rely on you as someone that can always get them out of a fix without thinking you're micromanaging or constantly looking over their shoulder. Obviously this is besides planning and stuff which is mandatory- that's the easy part. People are the hard part, because they're all different and have different experience/ability, so adapting to individual needs is crucial.
So basically, the shit floats to the top. The more willing you are to deceive or badmouth people and the more distant your superiors are from the action on the ground, the better you will fare.
7] "The biggest mistake is breaking trust".
8] The biggest mistake a leader can make is to snatch foolishly at a worthless victory. bravery adds irony.
9] Fools take bait; claim great bargain because it's shiny.
I suggest, when invisible guiding hands point direction, one should inquire whether such hands are connected to an invisible brain or at least check a map.
If well don't put back more than we take, it isn't actual growth.
